Bloodstone is a beautiful variety of Jasper. In antiquity it was known as a heliotrope meaning “attract the sun.” Legends were attributed to this stone for the belief that when placed in the rays of the setting sun, or immersed in water, it turned the reflection of the sun to blood-red. It is a great healing stone for all things dealing with the blood, organs and circulation. It is also great as a worry stone for it’s calming properties. It can be used for grounding during moments of anxiety and organizing during moments of stress and confusion. This is also a great stone for moments of grief or trauma as it’s energy is attune to the release of tension and emotional blockage.
